If you are new to kayaking and seeking to learn new skills, or enhance old ones, our instruction program is just what you need.  Delivered in an informal, friendly and always understanding manner, we can teach you the basics right through to more advanced techniques. 
Learn about kayaking safety, the basic strokes, rescue techniques and a whole lot of information on equipment, boat buying and more.

Sea Kayak Skills - Level 1

Everyone can learn from this course, regardless of your skill level.

We will start out with a short theory session on equipment and planning, then learn the essential paddling skills to safely handle your kayak (strokes, braces, balance). Finally you are taught how to safely exit your kayak and then re enter both on your own and with the assistance of other kayakers.

You will benefit from an increased skill and confidence level after this course. This course will give you a great basis to build on, and seek further skills in other courses.

Sea Kayak Skills - Level 2

This course takes everything a step further. The skills learnt in the level 1 course are enhanced through use in a more open environment.

You will practice rescues, learn some basic surf techniques, experience the open ocean, learn how to tow another kayak and more.

Not only will you learn heaps, but you will have fun doing it!

It is preferable for you to have undertaken the level 1 course prior to this one. If you haven’t done the level 1 course, we will accept you on Level 2 if you can show us you have achieved the skill level required to undertake this course.

Eskimo Roll

The art of eskimo rolling is a valuable self-rescue technique. We can teach you how to roll, step by step, in a user-friendly environment.

• COST - $110 per person
• TIME - App 3 hours
• INCLUDES - Kayak, all equipment, all safety gear, certified instructor.
MEET - Gosford Swimming Pool, Mason Parade, Gosford

Expedition planning

Getting bored with those short day paddles? Ever wonder what it's like to pack your life up in a kayak and go away for a weekend ....or longer. We will look at the what you need to do to succesfully plan and execute a weekend away....in fact, that's what we are going to do. You and your course mates will plan and execute an overnight paddle (location advised at the time of booking)

• COST - $230 per person
• TIME - Friday evening session, 2 days paddling, overnight camp.
• INCLUDES - Kayak, all kayak and camping equipment (except sleeping bag and mattress), all safety gear, certified instructor.
• MEET - We will advise at the time of booking.
